Enviroment & Sustainability

QCG is committed to Environmental, Social and Governance responsibility (“ESG”).

We make investment decisions with the knowledge that QCG is in a unique position to have a lasting impact to the environment and ESG considerations are at the core of our investment philosophy.

Given our investment strategy we often acquire assets that may have room for significant improvement in terms of environmental sustainability and social responsibility. These assets may have been developed at a time where regulations and cultural considerations were different. Due to their distressed situation, some of them have not been transformed into environmentally sustainable operations.

Enviroment & Sustainability

Examples of ESG considerations and initiatives we implement in each of the assets we invest in are:

  • Improve energy efficiency by changing the asset structure

  • Utilise energy from renewable resources rather than fossil fuels

  • Use recycled materials where possible

  • Minimise the use of plastic and put in place robust recycling practices during ongoing operations of portfolio assets

  • Acquire carbon offsets where carbon emissions cannot be mitigated at an adequate level

  • Assess social impact on local community and make sure that it generates positive externalities

QCG also strives to reduce its own Green House Gas (GHG) emissions as much as possible by implementing the above policies in its own operations where applicable. QCG’s goal is that the team’s ethos and culture is an example of an ESG responsible company.

QCG will issue an annual ESG report, that will summarise the ESG considerations and practices taken at each asset acquisition as well as in its own operations.
